I sometimes get this question: "How do I know where to take a retouch/manipulation ?" - My answer is that when I see certain images, they instantly cause sparks in my imagination. I often get abstract flashes as to where a piece can be taken creatively and those flashes are turned into what you eventually see. This is one such piece. Once I saw the image of the dancer, it all unfolded. In this retouch/manipulation, there is a play with hard vs soft, light vs dark and fantasy vs reality and the dance to find balance.
